Oncology Nurses Chapter was set up and approved by the Executive Council of SNA in 1990. I was spearheaded by Ms Emily Ang with the aim to provide continuous education on oncology to nurses in Singapore, create awareness to public on prevention and early detection of cancer and raise funds for cancer-related activities.

Objectives of the Chapter and set four main objectives:

1) Create public awareness on common cancers, early detection and prevention.
2) Provide continuous education in oncology for nurses caring for cancer patients

The logo reflects the heart of the Oncology Nurses Chapter — nurses coming together to support patients and families through the cancer journey. The circle represents unity, while the ribbon symbolises hope, awareness, and strength. The stars and moon remind us of guidance and care, even through difficult times. Rooted in the Singapore Nurses Association, the chapter stands for compassion, support, and dedication in oncology nursing.
