History

Birth of the Chapter

The Continence Nurses Chapter was founded on 21 February 2004 by Nurse Clinician Tan Sok Eng. With a strong commitment to improving continence care, she brought together nurses and nursing aides from acute hospitals, community hospitals, nursing homes, and home care services to share knowledge, discuss continence-related issues, and strengthen nursing practice in this specialised field.

The Chapter was later reignited in 2019, renewing its purpose to support continence nurses through education, collaboration, and advocacy for better patient care.
