This committee was originally set up as a sub-committee of the Education Committee in July 1974 as the "Newsletter Committee". It was then responsible for publishing the STNA Newsletter, which went from the cyclostyled form to the printed form in February 1984.

In December 1986 the Newsletter was renamed The Professional Nurse and in January 1998 it was changed to Singapore Nursing Journal.

The Editorial Committee came into its own in March 1990 and was officially known as the Editorial Board from March 1992.

Objectives

  • Provide a platform for publication of local and overseas papers and reports on nursing and kindred subjects.
  • Facilitate the dissemination of professional information and updates for members.
  • Promote interest in the activities of the Association among members.
  • Provide a links among nurses from different disciplines throughout Singapore and overseas.
  • Document the progress of nursing in Singapore.
  • Encourage writing and sharing among nurses and interested parties in Singapore and overseas.
  • Provide reference materials about nursing in the local context as a contribution to the nursing practice and education in Singapore and elsewhere.

We invite you to submit manuscript(s) for publication in the Singapore Nursing Journal. Please refer to the Information For Authors attached herewith.
